My 4 year old was having trouble with holding a pen and writing numbers and letters, since he has had this book he has come on leaps and bounds and can now write various letters and numbers on his own, on seperate paper. Would recommend this book to anyone with small children
It works! April 3, 2007 A. Davies (UK) 37 out of 37 found this review helpful
My three year old daughter has really taken to this book and it has pushed her letter development no end. Also highly recommended are the 'School Start' series including 'write your name' which is not as colourful or visually interesting, but shows how to form the letters correctly.

I bought this book for my daughter who has just started nursery school. I am very pleased with the product. It has plenty of bright colourful photos that she loves, and lots of room on each page to practice writing each letter. The wipe-clean style means that she can use it over and over again.I was going to keep it til Christmas as it would make a lovely present but I couldn't wait to give it to her. Highly recommended.
Brilliantly executed! February 2, 2009 Minnie (London, UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I gave my 23 month-old this for Christmas and her writing has accelerated way beyond my expectations. Most importantly, she loves it and will go and find it herself (unprompted), get herself a cloth or tissue to wipe the pages and then will sit and practice her letters for up to an hour at a time without getting bored. It's a simple concept, brilliantly executed and easy for small children to master AND ENJOY. She's two now and writes her name very neatly and clearly for her age. I'm buying some of these for friends now!
Educational Entertainment! February 4, 2009 Sally (North West London) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my 3-year-old niece as a loosely disguised educational Christmas present! I knew that she enjoyed `doodling' and drawing, so thought this would be a way into helping her to learn her letters and encourage her writing skills. I was delighted to learn from my Sister-In-Law that the book has been in constant use since she received it and that her writing is actually improving too! On visiting the family recently, my niece was only too proud to show me her new skills in writing in her "special letters book" as she calls it. I am now considering purchasing the other books in this range, as this one has been such an overwhelming success.
